During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the cleanliness of the place. It was absolutely spotless and gave me peace of mind in terms of hygiene. the basic kitchen facilities were a plus, as I was able to prepare some simple meals during my stay. The location was also a major advantage. It was conveniently located near major sites, making it easy for me to explore and visit key attractions. Lastly, the availability of brochures and leaflets about the local area was helpful in planning my activities.
One of the worst aspects was the lack of ventilation in the rooms. The windows were quite old-fashioned and made it difficult to properly ventilate the rooms, especially during hot days.

Clean and comfortable room, with bed sheets and towels provided. the honesty breakfast bar was more than sufficient. the location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature.
There was a mix-up with the security code upon arrival, causing a slight inconvenience. the lack of storage options in the bunkhouse could be problematic if the place is fully booked.

We stayed at Newbrough Bunkhouse for a peaceful countryside getaway. The bunkhouse was spotlessly clean and had nice, big rooms. The basic kitchen facilities served their purpose and the bathrooms were spacious. The location was great for exploring the local area, with on-street parking available. The nearby Red Lion pub offered reasonably priced food and drinks, and the friendly locals gave us some great tips. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stunning starry nights. The caretaker, Nick, was friendly and helpful, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay.
We do recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect for exploring the sights of Northern England and hiking along Hadrian's Wall. the village was charming with stone cottages and peaceful surroundings. the bunkrooms, shared kitchen, and bathrooms were very clean and well-organized.
There were no shops in the village, so having some form of self-transportation is necessary unless you are walking Hadrian's Wall. there was a mix-up with the security code on the first day, but it was quickly resolved.

I stayed in a shared room with 8 beds and I was the only guest, so it was nice to have the whole room to myself. The bunkhouse is located in a beautiful historic building in a charming area, close to a great pub. I also found the bed to be comfortable and the place was very clean.
There was only one bathroom/toilet for the whole floor, which could be challenging if there were more guests. Also, there was a bit of a mix-up with getting the security code when I arrived, but it was quickly resolved by the staff.
